Ll (silent comedy) About Steve by Phil Trail

By SubHun

The movie All about Steve spins around a character namely Sandra Bullock, a famous living movie star, having a best knack to impersonate any role of an actor, and in order to contribute towards making a niche for her. Her part as a feminine, who end up plying the bus with speed, was the efficiency of a whole life.

In a scene, the bus reaches near Sandra, as she was trying to cross the street taking along a baby carrier. The bus collides with her baby carrier, thus Sandra starts shrieking and closes here eyes. The baby carrier starts flying and spiraling in the air, yet the carrier is blank, so there is no any matter of serious angst.

The lady is making sentimental gestures towards the bus, and shows her serious resentment over the bus driver, and carries on shouting, yet the bus driver without taking care of her hue and cry, has already crossed a bigger distance on the road.

In the meanwhile, Keanu Reeves reaches at the scene and by seeing the plight of Sandra, Keanu tries to solace and calm down her. Despite trying to cool down her resentment, she still remains and seems like a hot pot. When Keanu seas that Sandra instead of cooling down, her wrath increases, over it Keanu chuckles over the Sandra.

Soon after playing her role as star in While You Were Sleeping that was broadcasted in 1995, a finer film that was produced by Hollywood and as an outcome it gave a big share of profitability.

The movie appears quite funny and appealing to its viewers, as it is a movie adding massive interesting and everlasting string of witticism.

Movie reviews Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel

By Mr D Stevens

Movie Reviews this week looks at the science fiction comedy Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel.

It stars the hilarious Chris O’Doyd (The IT Crowd, something about him reminds me of the sidekick priest in father Ted), as Ray, a science geek, fresh from losing his job, who along with two of his best friends Toby and Pete played by Marc Wooton and Dean Lennox Kelly (Shameless) respectively, are discussing time travel, in their local pub one day as only nerds can.

As Ray goes off to the bar to order three pints, he comes back to his friends and tells them an unbelievable tale of having met a girl at the bar who tells him she is from the future, his friends laugh it off, assuming he is either pulling their leg, or she maybe a local stripper with an American accent. The girl Cassie played by the lovely Anna Faris (Scary Movie) is really from the future, and is here to fix a “Time Leak”, apparently in the future agents can go back in time with their bodies hardwired with it’s own time machine, and of course the usual rules of not interfering with the future still applies, so strict about going back and interfering in a historical event, that could wipe out several blood lines, such as going back to prevent World War II.

Of course Ray’s friends don’t believe a single word he says, until one of them, Pete, goes to the toilet, but on returning to the bar sees that everyone in the bar is dead, he runs back to the toilet, comes back out again and apparently he is back at the bar with his friends and everyone is still alive, he tells them the unbelievable story, and although they laugh it off, he suggests that for it to happen to them, i.e. for them to travel in time, they would have to go through the same motions he did, to witness the future, and follows a hilarious scene where they follow his exact movements, even down to the way he shakes his hands after using the toilet. They go back to the bar, apparently not noticing anything odd, until they are almost at their spot in the bar when to their amazement, they see themselves, sitting at the bar only moments earlier, discussing what they were talking about earlier.

From this apparent “Time leak” they try to get back to their own time, meeting Cassie along the way who is trying to fix the time leak, apparently not succeeding each time, on one of their trips to the future, they find that they have been immortalized by humanity, with a huge gravity painting of them at the bar, discussing a very important piece of paper Toby has penned in his many attempts to write a good science fiction script, Hollywood would accept.

It is an enjoyable movie, combining comedy from both sides of the Atlantic many will sure to enjoy.

The Informant! by Steven Soderbergh

By SubHun

The Movie The Informant! produced by Steven Soderbergh is a delectable tapestry woven around the characters who are dexterously engrossed in employing duplicitous techniques with their entire ability to get away and make the viewers believe in, what they say.

That isnt an amusing thing, that someone knows well that he has lied to many people, yet the interesting thing is that, how he get away by telling white lies and befooling others, and people start to believe the liar.

This sort of ability to get away from the people, by using lying tactics means the guy is highly witty, although the truth will reveal, at a later date.

The newest movie of Stephen Soderbergh, The Informant! is full of lies yet not in a weird manner, thus it is a movie about the productivity of telling lies, it can prove habitual and that can be exploited. No doubt, it is a finer subject yet documented with the dexterity Soderbergh has used in the Oceans film, The Informant! is entirely hilarious.

The interesting aspect in this documentary is, pinpointing lies is not a great fun, yet someone is telling lie boldly in front of you is entirely funnier, and someone is telling lies, and you know he is telling lies and still giving the gesture of affirmation is absolutely funniest.

To release a title card which indicates that the film is well grounded on practical episodes, scenes, and characters and so on, thus the conclusion is the movie truly attracts the attention of viewers towards itself.

Opening with a title card which informs us that the following story is based on real people, events, locations, etcSo there, the movie begins with Matt Damon as Mark Whitacre, a high-level executive for ADM, a global food conglomerate based in Decatur, Illinois. From the opening credits where he tells us about the uses of corn far beyond the simple starch we know and love, Mark has all kinds of fun facts, comments, and observations he would like us to know. The film takes place in 1992 but Mark has Twitter in his brain and he doesnt have a 140-character limit. Theres a lot of funny plot-based events in The Informant! but youll walk away with Marks mind-tweets echoing through your brain.

Whitacre, a harmless and genial guy, decides to turn whistleblower on ADM when he learns of their price-fixing. Why? Because hes just a simple, honest man who wants to do the right thing. Thats what the FBI believes and thats what we believe because, by golly, look at him! Hes got two adopted kids because he was adopted after his parents were killed in an auto-mobile accident when he was six (or is it three? I dont remember); hes got a loving wife, he sends out Christmas cards, and how could a man who spends his free time musing about trivia concerning the hunting habits of polar bears be an untrustworthy guy? No, this is a good guy and hes doing the right thing.

Theres no arguing with that reasoning when you see Whitacre bumble his way through his undercover work as he taps on recording devices and looks straight into surveillance cameras hidden inside desk lamps. His spy skills would make Maxwell Smart blush except Whitacres really, really good at lying. He knows how to handle people and its not limited to just the characters youre watching.

Soderbergh plays the film perfectly with a 70s vibe despite the 90s setting, punctuated by a jaunty score from Marvin Hamlisch. The eras work together well because while the movie has a 70s look, Whitacre happily compares his life to something out of a Michael Crichton or John Grisham novel, and it doesnt feel like a Hey, were in the 90s!-moment, but a funny and perfect way to describe Whitacres restrained-intellect and kiddie-pool depth while making him even more likable. Being likable is one of the most important things someone can be.

Matt Damon has likable down to a science. After he dies, scientists will study him and see if they can isolate the likable gene and then sell it to douchebags, probably in the form of an energy drink. But lets get past Matt Damon Thunderfluid and talk about why his performance is better than just his natural charisma or the fact that he put on 20-30 pounds for the role*. Yes, make-up and physical alterations are required to make someone as good-looking as Damon look like a desk drone living in Decatur, Illionis. But performance matters and especially for this role, where so much of Marks character comes through his odd internal memos, that completely internalizing the character is essential and as he usually does, Damon makes it look easy. I was looking through his filmography and he hasnt had given a bad performance in a leading role in a major motion picture since 2000**. Few of his contemporaries have his versatility and while hes got an Oscar for screenwriting, hes long overdue to have one for acting.

Some folks may turn on The Informant! when it makes a strong twist in its third act but the way it transformed makes it more than just the light treat like the Oceans movies. It not only has a strong idea at its core but that idea sneaks up on you until youre wondering why you didnt see it all along. I know I walked out of The Informant! wondering if anything anyone ever told me was true so I want to make the following statement as clearly and directly as I can:

You should go see The Informant! Its delightful, witty, thoughtful, and a great time at the movies. So there.

Rating A minus

*A feat I dont find impressive. People put on that kind of weight all the time. We dont congratulate them on it.

**Thats not to say that hes been awful in supporting roles or in smaller movies. But everything that hes been in that Ive seen starting in 2001, hes been amazing.
